April 2016 issue of Communication Currents
We are pleased to announce the April 2016 issue of Communication Currents, an all online publication of the National Communication Association.
A quick search on the internet returns all kinds of resources aimed at helping parents communicate with their young kids or teenagers. But, what happens when teens turn into young adults? The lead piece in this issue features research by Erin E. Donovan (The University of Texas at Austin), Charee M. Thompson (Ohio University), Leah LeFebvre (University of Wyoming), and Andrew C. Tollison (Merrimack College) and tackles the question: When it comes to disclosing important news to young adult children, how can parents do so in a way that results in closer relationships?
Seven other translational articles feature research on topics ranging from using blind photography to expand the ways we visualize race to conflict styles in Ecuador.
Communication Currents is free and available to the public at www.communicationcurrents.com.
